February 13, 2026

This event is all about celebrating Galentine’s Day with a relaxed and sociable walk in the hills above Glossop. Our route will take us up to Whiteley Nab, where we’ll pause to enjoy wide views across the surrounding countryside and moorland.

Along the way we’ll learn some local history and interesting facts from our leader, Emily, who has lived in the town all her life. We'll take time to notice the landscape and the stories it holds, all at a steady, welcoming pace with plenty of opportunity to chat.

After the walk, we have the option to head into the brand new Glossop Market Hall for lunch (food is not included in the price but we will have a 20% discount off all drinks) . This is a great spot to unwind with food, drinks, and a browse of its lovely independent shops and eateries. A perfect mix of fresh air, good company, and a Galentine’s treat.
