🧵 Make Your Mark: Dare to Dream Sewing Bee – Glossop ✨
🗓️ Sunday 10 May
🕙 10am–4pm
📍 Glossop Market Hall
🎟️ Free, drop-in
Head to Glossop Market Hall for a relaxed, hands-on Sewing Bee led by Dare to Dream Lead Artist Sue Reddish. Drop in, get involved and take your time – stitch, browse and stop for something to eat along the way.
With activities for all ages and abilities – everyone is invited to take part.
Come and make a banner or flag about your dreams for better futures. Get inspired by Glossop’s rich textile history – from Edmund Potter’s calico printing to the bold, anarchic creativity of Vivienne Westwood – while learning from contemporary makers of today.
Working with repurposed materials, you can create something that reflects your hopes, ideas and dreams.
Together, these pieces will become part of a growing collective – shared on the Digital Loom and brought together in a large-scale celebration in 2027.
Featuring Dare to Dream ambassador Alex Murphy, alongside acclaimed textile artist Jenny Steele.
No experience needed. Just imagination.
👉 Book via Eventbrite to stay up to date and receive event information.
Come along, take part, and be part of something bigger 🪡✨
