BOXHERHQ

Our founder, Rosie studied Psychology at university and having faced her own struggles with mental health and body image issues, she was made very aware of the positive impact exercise had on her wellbeing. After graduating and wanting to make a difference to those struggling the way she had, Rosie trained as a Personal Trainer with the aim to help people not only with their physical health but their mental health too, combining her two passions of psychology and exercise. Using movement as medicine is paramount to us at BOXHER (soon to be BOXHERHQ!)

BOXHER was originally a women's only boxing class created by Rosie, a personal trainer with the vision of empowering women to take up space in a male dominated sport, release 'good girl' conditioning, find a healthy outlet for anger and to feel safer on the streets, all while having fun and meeting new friends in a supportive community. In this next phase, we will have our own premises with personal training, boxing, small group exercise classes, wellbeing events and workshops all under one roof! We hope to continue to collaborate with other heart-led local businesses to put together carefully curated events and workshops with the wellbeing of the community at the forefront as these have been a huge success for us so far.

Rosie is committed to her personal development as well as the growth of the business and serving the community. She is studying towards her pre and post natal qualification currently, with the view of being able to lead mum and baby classes and train 1-1 clients who are pregnant/have recently had a baby.

At first, the unit in the Market Hall will be a fitness studio but we hope to expand into retail and in time selling our own branded merch and home workout equipment and plans.
