Glossop Market Hall Unveils Full Retail Line-Up with Vibrant Mix of Independents

The vision for Glossop Market Hall is complete. Following the reveal of an acclaimed food and drink line-up, the team behind the regeneration is thrilled to announce the full roster of local independent retailers joining the venue.
Operated by The Hospitality Collective, the market will feature two distinct retail zones: the bustling Retail Arcade and the artisanal Mezzanine. While the Retail Arcade and Food Hall are preparing for an imminent launch, the Mezzanine level is scheduled to open early next year.
With work on site progressing quickly, the official launch date for the Market Hall will be announced later this week.
The Retail Arcade
Located on the ground floor, the Retail Arcade will host a vibrant mix of lifestyle brands. Joining the previously announced B&V Doggo General Store, the line-up includes Moda Vintage, The Bottle Store, Norris Master Florists and the Hello Oriental Grocery Store.
Moda Vintage
Sustainability meets style at Moda Vintage. Specialising in the golden era of sportswear and streetwear from the 80s, 90s, and early 00s, they offer a curated selection of bold logos and timeless pieces. “It’s a great space with a strong sense of community and character, which fits perfectly with the vintage and sustainable ethos of my business. I think it’s the ideal place to connect with local shoppers and other independent sellers,” says Francis of Moda Vintage.

The Bottle Store
Raising the bar for drinks enthusiasts, The Bottle Store is dedicated to premium, curated small-batch spirits. Passionate about cocktail culture, they deal directly with producers to bring hard-to-find liqueurs and barware to Glossop. The team shares: “We are excited for the opportunity to be part of something that surely will become a central community hub in Glossop.”

Norris Master Florists
Founded by master-qualified florist Anja Norris, this award-winning studio brings continental-style floristry to the arcade. Known for their RHS Chelsea Flower Show medals and organic, material-led arrangements, they will launch with a festive Winter Stall offering market-style wraps, fresh foliage, and wreaths. Anja shares: “The Market Hall unit simply allows us to expand what we do best, bringing accessible, seasonal, beautifully crafted florals to an even wider audience. We’re thrilled to become part of the vibrant Market Hall atmosphere.”

Hello Oriental Grocery Store
Completing the Hello Oriental experience, this dedicated grocery store is a one-stop destination for authentic East Asian ingredients, snacks, sauces, and frozen treats. In a fresh addition to the offering, the store will also be serving up delicious bubble tea, perfect for sipping while you shop.

The Mezzanine
Opening early next year, the Mezzanine has a diverse set of independent traders overlooking the market. This level will house the previously announced Forest Distillery and BoxHerHQ, alongside new additions Paws & Relax, The Crystal Caster, Gypset and the Rainbow, and Four Corners Art.
Paws & Relax
Catering to the four-legged members of the community, Paws & Relax offers professional dog and cat grooming in a stress-free, one-to-one environment. “I am absolutely delighted to be a part of the Glossop Market Hall. I feel as though the community will be brought together and feel connected again and I can’t wait to be a part of this,” says Erin Lloyd, who brings six years of experience to the new space.

The Crystal Caster
Founded in 2022, The Crystal Caster offers affordable crystals, minerals, and gemstone jewellery. What began as a personal passion for natural beauty has grown into a mission to make high-vibration stones accessible to all. Alex Higginson, founder, says: “To be allowed to grow my small business means the world to me. I can't wait to see what the future holds for The Crystal Caster!”

Gypset and the Rainbow
For the nomad bon vivant, Gypset and the Rainbow brings a vintage eclectic spirit to the market. Their ethos centres around repurposing and reinventing, creating one-of-a-kind pieces and small-batch productions that treasure craft and character. Jacqueline Ricci describes the new market simply as: “A place for connecting.”

Four Corners Art
Leon Martyn, a local art consultant with 20 years of experience, is bringing his expertise home with Four Corners Art. This new gallery will showcase local talent alongside nationally renowned contemporary and modern artists, offering paintings, prints, and sculpture. “I am really excited to be opening my first gallery in such a fantastic venue here in my home town,” says Leon.

A Vision Realised
Richard Walker, Managing Director of The Hospitality Collective, said: “We are incredibly proud to release the details of our now fully occupied market hall. To have a full house of exceptional independent and local traders is a huge achievement and speaks to the quality of this project and the building. Right now, the team is working incredibly hard on-site to get the market ready for everyone to enjoy. We are driving forward as best we can, and we can’t wait to share the finished result with the town.”
Councillor Damien Greenhalgh, Deputy Leader and Executive Councillor for Regeneration, Tourism and Leisure, added: “It is fantastic to see the Market Hall fully populated with such an eclectic and exciting mix of traders. This project was designed to give local entrepreneurs a platform to flourish, and seeing this variety, from long-standing local experts to new start-ups, is exactly what we envisioned. Glossop Market Hall is truly set to become the heartbeat of the town once again.”
About the Regeneration Project
The reopening of Glossop Market Hall is part of a major rejuvenation led and funded by High Peak Borough Council, carefully restoring one of the town’s most iconic landmarks. The project blends Glossop’s historic character with a fresh, modern design, creating a marketplace that honours its past while embracing its future.
